This project is the work of the architectural Chinese Firm called Vector Architects, based in Beijing. This studio is well known for its various unique realisation in China as the famous Seashore Library and the Seashore Chapel. This time, the group of professionals transformed a 1960s sugar factory into a luxurious hotel in the city of Yangshuo. Located in the heart of karst mountains, in the lush greenery of China, the hotel was built with the desire to respect the industrial heritage. By using light and space, the architects wanted to preserve the soul and history of the building, while respecting the surrounding nature.
