The Desert House by architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg took over 10 years to build, finally completed in the early 2000s. Known for his organic architecture and unique aesthetic, the home resembles futuristic, overlapping palm leaves: a striking feature that juts out of the rocky hill on the Californian desert it is built on. The interiors incorporate huge boulders, stone floors and concrete slabs, with glass windows covering the gaps of the numerous roofs. (Photos: Lance Gerber / Nuvue Interactive.)
