The Portuguese architect firm depA has designed an astonishing pavilion in Serralves Park, a green field stretching over 18 hectares and home to the country’s most visited museum conceived by the contemporary architect Alvaro Siza Vieira. This new building blends in perfectly with the surrounding vegetation and its reflective walls echo the smooth surface of the adjacent lake. But this new space, photographed by José Campos, was not only built to establish a dialogue with the place imagined by Siza. In fact, it also hosts projections of short films that give this puzzling construction a functional and aesthetic aspect.
