Two months ago we introduced you the work of the young french artist, Xavier Casalta which excels in the pointillism technique. He realized a « Play it your way » illustration on the occasion of the launch of the new Nissan Micra in partnership with Fubiz.
We are now returning more specifically to his creative process that we can observe in this series of photographs. The artist starts by making in pencil a simple sketch devoid of details.
He continues with a first passage in ink that will serve him to determine the zones of shadows and the reliefs that will give the illustration depth.
He mostly works on very small surfaces so as to stay as detailed as possible before applying the color.
He finalizes his creation by the delicate application of an eraser in order to get rid of any remains of the original sketch in pencil.
