Bordeaux is a French city that changes a lot for 15 years. It became one of the most attractive city in Europe and it saw the increase of its population. Some parts of the city, that wouldn’t be dedicated for habitations, see the construction of residential buildings and are more connected with the city center.
That is the case of the “Bassins à flot” quarter, dedicated to the night life, a harbor and located close to a former WWII underwater base. The modernisation of this oart of the city goes with the construction of the “La Cité du Vin” inaugurated and made by the architects duo XTU.

We present you the work of the Parisian architecture studio Hamonic Masson, behind a project of 56 apartments in the heart if the “Bassins à flot” quarter, nommé Urban Dock. Architects wanted ti remind the manufacturing, industrial and harbor aspect of the city by imaging an “indus” design with gold metal façade that is very geometric. Highs are different to play with the horizon line.
