As part of a project for his school of design, student and French designer Joseph Texeira imagined the coffee table TAblepis and returns to the Eastern tradition to share a meal sitting on the ground. This friendly table is the combination of two elements that invite to the exchange, sharing of informal, relaxed way: the coffee table and the carpet.

The weaving of the fabric is actually a working screen printing with staggered and superimposed lines. The colors borrowed from the world of Persian carpets and Middle Eastern culture, are integrated in a setting inspired by the IKAT the technique that plays a role “unifying”. This is the illusion that the table continues weaving the carpet, its shape, the carpet is lifted, becomes animated and table its shape. Printing table delicacy is given by a working slopes and an application of a dark lacquer to give a drop shadow.
