David Cerny is a Czech artist who creates monumental kinetic sculptures. His latest project consisted in the creation of a structure representing the head of the writer Franz Kafka. This creation, installed in 2014, is composed of 42 layers of stainless steel for a weight of 45 tons. Layers are independently animated in order to turn the head.
