Through his series Civilized Landscape, Chinese artist Ji Zhou designs mountains and urban landscapes from books and maps. All in relief, these panoramic stagings and installations are sculpted with paper. Based in Beijing, this multimedia artist has a certain experience in printing and painting. His observation of contemporary society reflects in his artworks : he illustrates the world by showing that the human culture is necessary to understand and build a civilization.
