Studio Luzinterruptus was invited in September at the Lux Festival in Besançon (France) to imagine a luminous and dramatic installation. Radioactive Control is an artwork that they’ve produced in 2011 for the Dockville Festival in Hamburg but that continues to resonate in 2015. After the drama of Fukushima and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (which are in their 70th anniversary this year), it seems that nothing has really changed concerning the volume of used nuclear energy in the world. To manifest against these facts, these artists have dressed up a luminous and threatening army of 150 “radioactive creatures”.
