British artist Richard Woods traverses the boundaries between art, architecture and design in an on-going examination of the relationship between the functional and the ornamental. Woods has said that his vibrant color palette is inspired by his childhood memories of his parents’ home in 1970s England, where he was surrounded by “plasticky” colors and garish, narrative wallpapers. Richard Woods has also designed a sensational interior for the Comme des Garçons’ flagship store in Osaka.
