The eight times BMX world champion Matthias Dandois offers us an exclusive immersion in a confined and sublime Paris.
Paris is the most visited city in the world, the energy in the capital is always intense and full of surprises.
The streets that are usually full of cars, tourists and pedestrians have suddenly become empty and calm.
From the Champs Elysees to the Eiffel Tower, passing by Montmartre or the Paris Opera, the city has become a perfect playground for a BMX ride at night, and unseen shots of the sleeping capital.
In a “bunny hop” on the Place de l’Étoile, Matthias extinguishes the city as it sinks into the night. To the sound of Victor Solf’s melodies, the atmosphere becomes magical and makes us forget for a moment the heaviness of the confined world. A difficult project, between curfew and shooting in empty streets, which ends in a superb final take at the Opéra Garnier. Once again, Dandois proves his great creative talent.
