Crowds is a film directed and written by Dan Sadgrove, who got inspired by Bill Buford’s book : Among the Thugs: The Experience, and the Seduction, of Crowd Violence. In his work, the author introduces a series of metaphors expressed by historians, sociologists, criminologists, psychologists and philosophers that define what a “crowd” means for them. The filmmaker wanted to contrast the chaos of city life with an ode to nature, narrated by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.
