Hermann Stene, Didrik Galasso, Henrik Lund and Karsten Kleppan all share the common theme of skateboarding. They are even the best four skiers in Norway, and that is why these boarders have traveled to the extreme north of their country. Filmed in 4K the result of this experience mixes frozen sand, pastel skies and mini-ephemeral ramps. Jørn Nyseth Ranum, the director of Mot Nord Northbound, was not intended to make a skate film, but this mix between two worlds creates a timeless artistic experience that has earned him the award at the Tribeca Film Festival this year.
