Amirah Tajdin is a Kenyan artist and filmmaker, having spent her teenage years in Dubai. In Baqala, her last short film, she represents the neighborhood shops of Dubai. Far from exuberance, luxury and beautiful cars, the filmmaker shows us another facet of Dubai. This one is colored with chewing gum, neons and skates.
