This project was done my Daniel McQueen from Christchurch New Zealand who studies at CPIT and is in his second year of his Bachelor of Design. His concept was Material objects can not buy happiness. Having material objects in a vending machine represented the action of buying an object as a “fix” of happiness, to satisfy ones hungry for a particular item.

This translates back to the original purpose of a vending machine, to supply one with a snack for a temporary hungry fix. The hungry soon returns, as it was just a snack. Much as buying a material object wont make us happy forever. We continually feed on material objects in pursuit of happiness. On the reverse side of the objects in the machine, quotes inform of the true sources of happiness that comes not from material objects.
