Née en 1915, la photographe Genevieve Naylor a fait ses débuts à New York, ville où elle s’est installée à l’âge de 18 ans. En 1945, elle est exposée pour ses clichés par le Musée d’Art moderne. Après la guerre, la photographe travaille pour des magazines tels que Vogue et Harper’s Bazaar, se façonnant une identité visuelle qui font d’elle une artiste à l’oeil très recherché. Mashable a rendu hommage à ses superbes portraits réalisés dans les années 40, montrant des femmes dont l’élégance du style demeure intemporelle.
