Dale Edwin Murray is an illustrator and graphic designer based in London. He has created for the publishing, advertising and design sectors, while selling his own hip-hop inspired art prints.
“For NPR, I have an ongoing project to support his new podcast Louder Than A Riot, which examines the link between hip hop and mass incarceration in the United States. I have created profiles of the artists featured in the show as well as illustrations inspired by the stories they tell. I always like to create portraits, especially of hip hop artists, so this is a dream job for me!”

Louder Than A Riot, which is available for streaming here, explores the story of a different artist in each episode to examine a different aspect of the criminal justice system that has a disproportionate impact on Black America.
His clients over the past ten years have included Nike, the NBA, Complex, O2, GQ, the New York Times and Apple. The most recent is the American radio brand NPR, on a project that is particularly close to his heart.
