The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, an island of plastics floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that is bigger than the U.S. state of Texas, will now be the source of ‘beautiful, sustainable products’ made from the garbage collected and recycled by The Ocean Cleanup.

“These are not going to be gimmicks. These are going to be products that you will actually want,” The Ocean Cleanup’s founder and CEO, Boyan Slat mentioned in an announcement he made at the event held in Vancouver last week.
All products will be made 100% out of recycled plastics gathered from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
