Tony Orrico is a contemporary dancer who has decided to transform his art into performances where his body movements are frozen in the huge sheets of paper on which he dances, pencil in hand. His wrists, his ankles twist and turn, his whole body curves in an embrace with the ground, drawing the geometric and chaotic web of huge graphite rosettes, as regular on the outside and random in detail as the diversity of human bodies. Paying attention to his own bodily sensations is essential in his creative process, as the artwork is really born from the traces of life that the artist imprints on space.
