Born in Fukuoka, Japan, visual artist Nomoco uses ink to create delicate and naive images. Her works inspire their viewers an unexpected calm, and once we look at it, it is the nuances of hues that stick. The ink on the paper gives us a sensation of subtle movements, variations. We could almost feel the textures. «I love controlling the movement of ink and being controlled by it. For the past few years, printmaking, such as silkscreen and lithography mixed with ink drawings, have been explored in my personal works», she says.
The visual signature of the illustrator, both minimalist and sensual, has attracted several renowned international companies such as Nike, Moschino, Marc Jacobs or Apple.
