The Little Inventors project was initiated in 2015 by London-based designer Dominic Wilcox, who wanted to bring children’s imagination to life. Since then, more than 7000 projects have been observed and implemented. Each child is rewarded for their creativity, and some ideas are really worth a visit. A bowl that indicates the expiry date of what it contains? Done. A space boot customizable by the cosmonaut to be sure and certain to leave its mark on the moon? Done. This project challenges engineers to be innovative as long as it seems so difficult to compete with the originality of these young inventors’ projects.
