Do you still remember these legendary objects, nowadays almost vanished, called “floppy disks” ? This USB key’s ancestor is, just the VHS and the cassette, a true historical piece. The artist Nick Gentry rehabilitates this old memories et give them a new life in a very insolite way, by using them as a canvas for his paintings.

In the Human Connection exhibition, at the Opera Gallery of London, he exposes these huge artworks composed by floppies and CDs fragments. All the pieces are glued thanks to a special resine that gives a compact effect. A pop art project for all the nostalgic of a now quite old world !
