Odd, erotic, eccentric, sensual or even provocative, French artist Émir Shiro’s collages do not leave us indifferent! In fact, his creative process is mainly based on the social networks’ censorship: it is an attempt to deride the representation of images on the verge of reprobation. «This technique of “hiding and unveiling” is ideal to talk about nudity and sexuality with poetry by ignoring the censorship imposed on social networks, says the artist. Today, when I build an image, it’s like having to take a challenge! By this, I mean that the censorship that Instagram is enforcing on its application is for me kind of a wall to climb.»

Émir Shiro also has fun in his collages to divert news topics, various pictures or even public figures immersing us in a crazier version of reality. Follow his work on Instagram.
