Anka Bara’s illustrations are colourful, sassy and playful. The artist is a master of subtle humour; she bends reality and plays with feminine concepts. The illustration “It’s a match” is a perfect example; the artist shows a match box with a sign “It’s a match” written on it, which is obviously a pun considering that on the other side of the image we can see a match with a heart-shaped flame symbolising the flame of love.
