“Sneakers are not for wearing. Sneakers are created for showing.” That is what you can read on the walls of the exhibition about Stanley Wong‘s illustrations at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centrer in Hong Kong. The artist, also known as Wood Fire, presents this series of sneakers illustrations in his native town of Hong Kong. After ten years in the graphic design world, he wishes promote this drawing practice, rather unheard of in Hong Kong, through these illustrations with bold colors, simple forms and sophisticated details.
