Elia Mervi is a young Spanish illustrator now based in Sintra near Lisbon in Portugal. Very inspired by this region surrounded by forests with eucalyptus scents and bordered by the sea, the young woman doesn’t hesitate to transcribe these influences through her drawings. Her other favorite inspiration remains the female figures, especially those that have made history by their intellectual fight. To reflect these influences, she uses graphite and watercolor to make it perfect. According to her, “the drawing shows you the tangible idea and the watercolor provides the most surreal, intuitive and sensory part of the work.”
