American artist Matthew Cusick uses the medium of old maps to create collages and paintings of waves. Through this inventive and geographic approach, the borders of continents and oceans are turned into shades of blue to shape a troubled sea. The colors he mixes, between land and sea, add a certain depth and a sense of texture and relief.
