AMIE is a house designed thanks to a 3D printer led by a car to assure flexibility and mobility during the building. The car features a generator which doesn’t need to be connected to a source of energy, it works thanks to a magnetic wireless system (like a giant phone charger). Firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill worked in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory to imagine this amazing home, for the Additive Manufacturing Integrated Energy project.
