Camera Restricta is an advanced camera, designed simply and with a vintage, imagined by Philipp Schmitt in reference to the Camera Obscura. He wanted to propose a camera that geo-localized (via Internet) the number of pictures that already have been made in this place. The number appears on the camera’s screen. If the place has been too much taken in pictures, the shutter release retracts itself, the camera blocks and a buzzer sound rings out according to the variations’ Geiger counter. All this to avoid seeing 500 000 boring and similar pictures, taken in the area, and that pollute the web.
