Illustrator Jonathan Brechignac did a big illustration of 110cm on 70cm, representing a carpet, made on paper thanks to blue ballpoint pencils, a marquer, UV ink and pyrography. CARPET n°8 is part of his series Carpets and each carpet drawing takes several months to be completed because of the details and the patterns to work individually. He draws his inspiration from different kinds of art such as Oriental art, Pre-Columbian, Japanese, Gothic, Native American arts but also animals visuals and camouflage military uniforms.

About the size of his illustrations, he takes the size of an Oriental prayers’ carpet. On each corner of the carpet, you can see QR Codes that direct to the official page of the series.
