« Retratos » (« Portraits ») is a look at the characters portrayed in the past, looking for synergy with the present. A critique of the stiffness of the portraits inspired by Graffiti.
Each of these characters has something that makes them special and I look for that to potentiate, often hilariously and mockingly. Each one of them asks me something different, a different sky, a different color, a trait to startle.
I combine old portraits with modern photography and color shapes.
