For almost a year, I photographed people walking in Manhattan on sunny days. Then I removed the backgrounds and filled them with black – so we end up focusing on a single individual. It’s essentially a combination of DiCorcia’s « Heads » series and artist Beaut Streuli’s street portraiture.
