The award-winning experimental short, Interval, contemplates on the relationship between memory-time-space and concepts of mobility and immobility. It moves from video to photography, questioning the conventional ways of seeing while also commemorating Chris Marker’s masterpiece, La Jetée (1962). Aside from the philosophical implications, Interval is also about a real catastrope that took place in northwestern Turkey on August 17, 1999 with a magnitude of 7.5 at about 3:02am local time.
