Sven Kristian is a photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. In his body of work, titled ‘Days Like none Before’ his images tell stories of life after the apocalypse. The images describe how the human spirit attempts to continue routines in life in a world that has fallen into permanent ruin, an attempt to prevent mourning from slipping into melancholia. This series was inspired by all comments and gossip about the possibility of an apocalypse in 2012.
