Conscious of it’s surroundings, Unit + collective designed the structure to fit in with the natural landscape physically and aesthetically. There was minimal alteration to the project site, manipulating the gradient of the ground only slightly so that the structure sits naturally. The stones that reinforce the foundation as well as form the dry stone wall at the front of the pavilion are all from the immediate area. Over time the structure will become part of the landscape itself.
