Shift is a table that is laser-cut and folded by hand. We cut it in such a way that we weakened the 3mm steel sheet to the point that it becomes easily bend by hand in a few simple steps. This way we cut immensely on production costs in small series by using a machine to do what is impossible for a human and let a human do what is impossible for standard machines.
This led to a beautiful balance in precision and unexpected details at the corners where the 3mm steel plate is bend.
