Emmanuel Fremin Gallery is pleased to present Shaman, Francoise Ben Arous’ third exhibition at the gallery. The show will run from June 18 to July 31, 2015, with an artist reception on July 18 from 6-8pm. Françoise made a trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, in 1995. She discovered the origin of the Joss paper, sqaure sheets of hand-made bamboo paper, covered with a very thin layer of metal in gold or silver hues. She was attracted to pictorial quality of the paper, so decided to make joss paper collages.
