Michael Carney adapte Same Kind of Different as Me, le roman éponyme de Lynn Vincent, paru en 2006. L’histoire de Ron, un marchand d’art reconnu et en vogue, interprété par Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine), qui rencontre Denver, un sans-abri, campé par Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond). Les deux individus, que tout oppose, vont finalement se rapprocher et entamer une belle histoire d’amitié, aidés par la femme de Ron, Rebecca, interprétée par Renée Zellweger.
Un film attendu en février 2017 dans les salles.
