In homage to Nicolas Rieussec’s invention of the chronograph, Montblanc made a line of watches, and wanted to introduce it to the world.
So we challenge people from around the world to seize the moment and capture the beauty of a second in a short film contest, presented by Wim Wenders.
The two winners will be awarded a trip to the 2012 Berlinale to meet one of Berlin’s greatest – Wim Wenders himself.
SUBMISSION & INSPIRATION
During 3 rounds of the competition the public will vote for the shortlist of 60 1-second videos.

Palme d’Or winner Wim Wenders is picked to be our master of seconds – a decision based on his unique ability to project the moment.
CREATE AND SHARE PLAYLISTS
In phase two, people can vote for single videos and people can also compete in directing the most striking moments of the world by creating playlists, to show people the very magic of this collective beauty.
People can also vote for shortlists, from where Wim Wenders will pick the winning one.
