Having already conquered the world of watch design and manufacture, TAG Heuer have now become one of the latest brands to throw their hat into the smartphone ring.

The phone they have designed has taken inspiration from the racing cars which they sponsor, not only in the design but in the name. We introduce to you, the TAG Heuer Racer.

This isn’t the first branch away from watches  that TAG Heuer have made, the Meridiist  phone is already available, but in no way can compete with the new sleeker touchscreen brother that TAG have now created.

The look of the phone is as extravagant as you’d expect from TAG Heuer, with the phone designed to look like a car. Along with that though, they have managed to keep it looking like a smartphone, even looking slightly similar to a HTC but with a chunky case.

The advert refers to the phone as “A Breakthrough in Swiss communication Instrument”, and TAG themselves say that the phone has a high speed processor and the latest android processor, probably meaning that when it is released in July 2012 that it will be loaded with quad-core silicon and the Ice Cream Sandwich Android system.

Take a look at the video below, it may look a little bit like a trailer for a new Transformers movie but bear with it. You’ll see all the angles and contours of this new carbon fibre and titanium clad beauty and get a real feeling of prestige from what is set to be one of the worlds most exquisitely designed mobile phones.

The TAG Heuer Racer will be available in July, starting at €2800
