Man Tong Kitchen recently opened at the Crown Casino Complex on the banks of the Yarra in Melbourne, a city famous for food. PointOfView lighting design were briefed to create a contemporary space, while retaining a traditional Chinese teahouse feel. Light levels in private rooms and main areas are flexible, thus appealing to both western and Chinese diners who typically prefer brighter restaurants. Mark Elliott and his team at POV also lit Neil Perry’s Rosetta restaurant within the Crown.
