Elise Morin’s large-scale installation “Fossile. 1990” intends to shed light on the process of degradation of a plastic bag, an object much mythicized over the thirty-year boom before being heavily criticized and demonized. The oval structure made of embroidery hoops evokes portraits like medallions allow for a second interpretation of the work and question our relation to artifice, to the passing of time and to environment.
