Mila’s Daydreams

  10. Adrian27.07.2010 at 19:06

Juste laisser dormir .

  21. Guyom27.07.2010 at 22:25

  22. Vinche27.07.2010 at 23:19

  23. soo27.07.2010 at 23:24

  24. gapami27.07.2010 at 23:37

Il fait de beux rêve ce bébè !

  25. Phillll28.07.2010 at 0:28

  26. Severine28.07.2010 at 0:59

  27. etrangedesign28.07.2010 at 1:06

  28. kbump28.07.2010 at 1:31

    agreed

  29. Monsieur M28.07.2010 at 1:37

  30. l28.07.2010 at 8:17

  31. Romain28.07.2010 at 9:49

    http://www.janvonholleben.com/?page_id=4

  32. Ugo28.07.2010 at 10:02

  33. kazes28.07.2010 at 10:03

  34. kazes28.07.2010 at 10:03

    “abusé” -e pardon :D

  35. Sandrine28.07.2010 at 11:05

J’A-DO-RE!! Incroyable imagination!
    Bravo!

  36. sasquatsch28.07.2010 at 11:39

Great shooting Adele and you have a lovely little Mila

  37. flou28.07.2010 at 13:12

  38. Gallie28.07.2010 at 14:10

  39. Catherine28.07.2010 at 14:16

  40. mel28.07.2010 at 14:23

  41. AnneSo !28.07.2010 at 15:26

  58. labellebeille29.07.2010 at 16:07

  59. LogiCyr29.07.2010 at 17:13

  60. silvia iannazzo29.07.2010 at 17:28

  61. Don Coker29.07.2010 at 18:23

    These are magically creative! Bravo!

  62. Filipe Durando29.07.2010 at 21:32

  63. Rita29.07.2010 at 22:07

Mille fois BRAVO!!!!!!

  64. Anne-Sotte29.07.2010 at 22:47

Excellent !!! Ca me donne des idées…

  65. Stacia30.07.2010 at 4:35

  77. Piaf30.07.2010 at 15:58

Amazing! Seems that somebody has some creativeness left to share – in middle of family life :D

  78. Jodie30.07.2010 at 16:29

If my parents had done this when I was a child and showed me the pictures now, I would think it was awesome. Some lovely photographs to show Mila when she is older!

  79. Sam Westley30.07.2010 at 16:43

this is one of the sweetest things i’ve ever seen

  80. Shea30.07.2010 at 17:38

All these people saying you need to “leave the sleeping baby alone” have never been around a sleeping baby. They mostly sleep through anything–note how she’s still conked out in all the photos! And the majority of the work in these photos is “off-camera” finding props.

Bottom line: I doubt the baby is harmed in any way by this project, and it gave a new mom a creative way to celebrate her infant and bring a little art into the world. I bet this kid is among the luckiest on the planet. Stop sounding the “abuse” alarm or you’ll wear it out!

    Great pics!

  81. Maman Bobo30.07.2010 at 19:02

  82. cock30.07.2010 at 20:20

    THIS IS WILDLY OFFENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  83. Sweet Momette30.07.2010 at 22:51

  84. Guyom31.07.2010 at 0:28

    @ Sandrine

  89. ingrid31.07.2010 at 6:59

don’t you see? the baby is a doll. its fake, but wonderful and creative. i dont think its terrible at all, its just a physical expression of what sort of far reaching dreams a baby might be having.

  90. White31.07.2010 at 7:47

These are so beautiful. I’m glad I stumbled upon them. This is truely wonderful.

  91. sushant31.07.2010 at 13:03

  99. Nikki1.08.2010 at 2:43

This baby is PASSED OUT. How did this person get a baby that is seemingly dead?!

  100. Marie-Laure1.08.2010 at 3:15

  105. Amanda2.08.2010 at 17:31

Well you are crazy. I dont know what you do but how do you have energy to do this stuff with a baby around? If it were me, I’d be daydreaming right next to the baby on the floor. The husband would get some good pics of the drool coming out of mine and the babys mouth.

  106. VP3.08.2010 at 1:05

    Must be first child!

  107. Phil E. Drifter3.08.2010 at 3:37

    Did it died?

  108. deli3.08.2010 at 11:13

yeah it’s creative.. but still freaks me out.. got this mix feelings of : yeah thats cute and of : oh my , the baby looks so tight in those stupid costume, she must be feeling too warm, and seems like the mum dresses her up when she’s asleep, means disturbhing her.. way too much attention on a baby that need to DREAM ON HER OWN, without her mum having anything to do but leaving her alone

  109. Rapha3.08.2010 at 14:06

  111. Manon3.08.2010 at 23:43

  123. Reinhilde8.08.2010 at 9:19

All those ‘ooh, she’s abusing the poor baby’ comments - totally ridiculous. 9 chances out of 10 they don’t have a baby of their own. It’s the imagining of the dream, working out the concept and staging it that takes most of the time. Placing the baby and making the picture takes maybe 10 seconds. If she makes 1 picture a day, now how does that traumatises that baby?
I bet mine would love having pics of themselves like this instead of the ones with food smeared all over their face :D

  124. teya8.08.2010 at 15:17

You are so creative! I do not see nothing wrong in this. I am sure the babe is not harm at all and I doubt this bother it.

  133. Anne Onyme13.08.2010 at 16:50

  134. Shrriev13.08.2010 at 17:11

    So…. sweet … :D

  135. Stéphane16.08.2010 at 14:26

  137. Daniel18.08.2010 at 16:56

  140. dk21.08.2010 at 17:54

Absolutely beautiful. Something to look back on with fond memories.

And for those of you that seem to think she is doing something wrong by “disturbing” the baby, moving her while sleeping to dress her up, set up props etc. .. did it not occur to you that the baby was probably already wearing the outfit? And the props were already laid out? It’s just a matter of laying her down when she falls asleep. Nothing wrong with dress up. Now, parents that spend 100’s of dollars on designer clothing that their baby will outgrow in a few months, that is morbid. This is amazing.

  141. Poop21.08.2010 at 23:42

    What an ugly baby.

  142. Kristy24.08.2010 at 13:14

Fun and more FUN! I’m with the commenter who thinks there’s a calendar in the near future, even if it’s only one you make for your own family! (Sure wish there were still babies in this house…guess I’ll just have to wait for grandbabies.)

  143. beast25.08.2010 at 2:48

This is both creepy and entirely offensive.

  144. Susie25.08.2010 at 4:00

This is absolutely amazing! It takes real imagination and creativity to even think this up! I love how I can actually see this gorgeous baby actually having these wonderful adventures! Brilliant!

P.S To people who find this offensive….eat a bowl of shit.

  145. liz malcomess25.08.2010 at 6:06

A website that should be compulsary for everyone to watch first thing in the morning to remind them of their own dreams. Quite beautiful

  151. kriszti29.08.2010 at 15:08

this is so so adorable and cuuute, and the baby is absolutely beautiful.
however, all the people talking about ‘abuse’ are just ridiculous. they are the offensive ones to me, not these pictures. think before you speak, dumbasses. can’t you imagine that the mum probably dressed the baby up in the outfits before she fell asleep? or that she spent a lot of time planning out all this? and why of why would a tired-busy woman spend her free time taking such pics if not because she loves her child so much? ack seriously, such talk makes me moody.

  152. Matty30.08.2010 at 21:45

This person absolutely loves their child–In more ways than can ever be fully expressed. It’s certainly brightened my day!

  153. April Page1.09.2010 at 3:22

I’m really tired of seeing people just to this over and over again… all originality began to taper off about 6 or so years ago… Also, I’m creeped out because the baby looks dead.

  168. behnnie12.09.2010 at 4:48

These are fantastic- not only because they’re clever and well shot, but because they prove it *is* possible to get little ones to sleep even when there are things going on around them in the house. What a consolation to my new-mommy friends. ;)

  183. Mina26.09.2010 at 4:08

Its kind of disturbing you use your baby to advertise your “art” and make it seem like its great when it actually isn’t.

  184. Tim29.09.2010 at 4:14

For those of you who can’t read French this is the (Google) translation of the beginning narrative — An excellent initiative Adele Enersen, from Helsinki with this project “Mila’s Daydreams.” During the period of maternity leave, she staged daily and imagines the dreams of her baby. The ensemble is to discover later in the article.

  185. Tyler Hojberg30.09.2010 at 3:49

These poor babies. That’s social suicide for their teen years.

  186. DentonsWoman1.10.2010 at 6:38

These are so creative and cute! It makes me want to have a house full of babies!! I love kids! They are so awesome!

  187. DentonsWoman1.10.2010 at 6:40

What’s wrong with taking pics of your own child while she’s sleeping? Just because this is considered art doesn’t make it wrong or immoral. It’s beautiful interpretation!

  188. kuniczynka1.10.2010 at 17:22

    Absolutely adorable..

The bunny one is ah.. awesome :)

  189. meg5.10.2010 at 1:34

Lame! Looks like someone had way too much time on their hands to spend creating this boring, unimaginative “art”. dirty carpet is not a very good medium

  190. Ultimo5.10.2010 at 20:20

Poor Baby … so young and already manipulated !!!

  191. Kim9.10.2010 at 16:16

  192. anarchronism11.10.2010 at 0:09

Do this every night until she moves out.

  193. MJ12.10.2010 at 0:44

Wow. I should start making art projects with all the dead babies in my house.

  194. Melissa12.10.2010 at 23:36

“I love how you have captured the babies’ dreams”… what a joke.

This stuff is contrived and cliched as it gets. This sort of photography is valuable only if you share genetic material or are friends with someone who shares genetic material with these babies. Or if you want a baby really bad and think you can’t have one.

  195. Elle13.10.2010 at 16:31

It is really interesting to me to read through the comments on this site about others opinions and I dare say that I am quite appalled at the negative ones written here most of all.

Abuse of a child? Disgusting? Claiming the baby is dead? Are you people serious? If it isn’t something you like, there’s a button in the upper right hand corner of the window that you can click with a great big X on it. Do us all a favor and go elsewhere if you can’t appreciate what the author has done here.

What gives any person the right to pick apart how these pictures were taken if you have no idea? (I.E. The warmth, comfortableness, etc of the child) Does the baby look hurt? Bothered or crying ? No, doesn’t look like it to me. You have no right to pass judgment on someone else and what they do with their child unless there’s a clear indication that something is definitely wrong.

Do you dress up your child for Halloween? Why is this any different except the photos were captured after the child had fallen asleep? Seriously, think about that. And what about the people who dress up their pets? Is that abusive too?

It is in my opinion, that if no one was harmed in the making of these photos and that one person smiled because of them, then they did their job. Some of you seriously need a reality check.

this is the worst ever ugly baby too. sorry but i dont care if other people say its creative its just you placing a bunch of crap around your kid while they sleep . crap just plain crap.

  198. Mandy18.10.2010 at 22:18

I adore these photo’s. The baby is beautiful. The imagination to use everyday items as the scenery is brilliant. The settings are so wonderful - the little Hindi baby in particular makes me grin from ear to ear. Thank you so much.

    Don’t feed the trolls.

  199. Annette Abbott22.10.2010 at 2:17

Adele Enersen has expressed a wish in her blog that all pictures taken from her site be removed, especially if those are published without her watermarks.

  207. Tegan5.11.2010 at 2:48

this is an absolutly amazing thing.
It was adorable, and it makes me want to do the same thing when i have a child, its a wonderful way to document such an adorable child. :) props to you! creative and unique and beautiful. truely lovely.

  208. Nastevski5.11.2010 at 10:50

Its more like Mila’s Dayjob than Mila’s Daydreams, i dont like what you are doing to your baby.

  209. lkjfas5.11.2010 at 17:26

Anyone who thinks this is “wrong” or “hurting the child” is a dumb ass and obviously doesn’t have kids of their own. Personally, when my son naps I nap too, so I give props to any parent who has the energy to turn that valuable potential-sleep time into something fun that the child can see later in life. I loved the rabbit one.

you are using your child as a prop…this is awful.

  221. jessica19.11.2010 at 3:27

how can you say this is child abuse…. this is a healthy happy baby who is sleeping and the mother or father is creating wonderful art. they could have laid all of the scenery before the child fell asleep and then just laid her down when it was nap time. these people who cry wolf are whats wrong with our society.

  222. jessica20.11.2010 at 20:42

    adorable

  223. Alannah24.11.2010 at 3:40

It’s incredible what babies can sleep through. I wish I had that ability.

  224. MaryMe24.11.2010 at 15:32

  231. aj1.12.2010 at 20:11

people who say this is ‘disgusting’ or wrong are stupid. it’s adorable and the child will appreciate seeing them, they’re cute. I’m just wondering why the person had so much time. I like how some of the sleeping poses actually fit in with the dreams i guess a couple you could have moved the baby but some just fit.

  232. Pete Stone6.12.2010 at 11:50

    Great!!!

  252. CSNate8.01.2011 at 3:22

WOW! Truly stunning! What a wonderful memory to make for your little girl!

The ones saying its “offensive or child abuse” obviously can’t see the beauty behind this and have NEVER had a sleeping child (and at that age.. they’ll sleep through pretty much anything!)

Imaginative, beautiful and a true work of art :) Mila will love these photos when she’s older.

  253. Andrea Garrido8.01.2011 at 14:05

very good stuff. Do you have a RSS feed? And will it be cool if I added your feed to a blog of mine? I have a blog that pulls content out of RSS feeds through a number of websites and I’d like to add yours, the majority of folks do not mind given that I link back and everything but I like to get authorization 1st. Anyway let me know if you could, thanks.

  262. Nate the Great18.01.2011 at 2:36

  264. lynzy20.01.2011 at 7:28

i am absolutely confused as to how this is considered, by some, to be child abuse. are you kidding me? i see no bruises, no crying, no nothing. just love and fun. i loved these pictures, and the creativity and color in each photo is inspiring. everyone that thinks otherwise seriously needs to lighten up and stop being so uptight. there is nothing wrong with what this woman did. grow the hell up.

  265. rexxar21.01.2011 at 15:32

  271. charlie27.01.2011 at 19:17

Is anyone else reminded of that scene in the Office where Angela is dressing up Jan’s baby in a plate of vegetables? Well this is just as creepy.

  272. Newmommy520101.02.2011 at 18:47

I think these pictures are absolutely adorable… ignore the ignorant remarks of these people claiming child abuse and all that nonsense… they clearly have no kids of their own…

  273. Diana2.02.2011 at 17:48

I am a mother of two and I think you are a very creative person. Those pics are beautiful!! Congratulations!!! you should do more and share them… please do with me!
Good luck and God bless your baby!

  274. Kathryn2.02.2011 at 21:39

  275. Kathryn2.02.2011 at 21:42

  278. Mafalda6.02.2011 at 20:01

  279. cat debacker6.02.2011 at 20:17

These are so sweet. I have 6 kids and they would have loved having pictures like these to look back on. They love your pictures too. Good for you to use your extra time to spend with your adorable baby, she won’t always be little.

They should make a calendar out of this. SO many people would buy it.

  292. Simon14.03.2011 at 9:08

Why are you doing this to that poor dead baby

  293. Rob14.03.2011 at 12:49

Beautiful. I happened across this accidentally, and was much taken with it, as my Granddaughter is named Mila also.

  294. Tiffany15.03.2011 at 17:09

It’s great what we can do with a dead baby!

  298. Jamie23.03.2011 at 16:49

There is no doubt in my mind that people screaming, “CHILD ABUSE!” have never had children. Is it really a crime for adults to enjoy the wonderful innocence that is a sleeping baby?? And yes, at that age they will sleep through anything. All over the world parents fawn over their precious sleeping bundles. Maybe not every parent has the means to photograph their infants but you bet that if there is a camera at their disposal, they are shooting away. Is that child abuse?? The baby that is lying alone in a crib in a dark room is more “abused” than this adored baby.

These scenes were obviously set up in advance with minimal manipulation of the infant. When the scenes were perfected the infant was most likely placed very carefully on her “mark” while the photographer patiently waited for the perfect shot.

There are horribly abused children out there, babies that are neglected of their emotional and physical needs. That is obviously not the case here. Calling THIS child abuse completely dilutes the definition.

  299. ali25.03.2011 at 12:15

i’m sure this person will be glad, when rise, to see such interesting frames, not just “cheese, my sweetheart” or “look at me, my darling”))

  308. eklectic9.04.2011 at 15:05

What a proud mother! And a smart lady enjoying 2 of her passions: her child and her artistic side. Much better than all the pictures that we all take of the baby sleeping in the crib, the swing, the walker…
All of you that say abuse, have you ever seen an abused child? And if you have, have you done anything about it? Probably not! Just turned the other way!
And for those who say a dead baby…you are sick or ignorant! Have you ever seen a sleeping infant? Probably not! But I do pity your kids if and when you have them! You will be calling them dead things, no pride in their beauty, innocence.
How I pity you and your child!

  319. james4.05.2011 at 19:18

    Bonne continuation.

what a beautiful baby! and how fun are all of those scenes?!

  332. Kylie3.06.2011 at 9:13

I can not understand how anyoen could see anything wrong with these photos.
Simply adorable, and a wonderful way to capture memories of how little your baby once was. It’s so easy to forget that one day they were just a sleeping, squishy little person, with all the possibilities in the world. I think the art incorporated is astonishing as well- and perhaps all the images she’s in are what infants dream of? Anyhow, these are simply beautiful and when I ever have children, I may have to steal this idea a little :)

By the way, she is BEAUTIFUL.

  333. Audra6.06.2011 at 9:42

Merci! C’est bon! Creative! I can’t believe all the mean things people have written about your artistic photos! Keep dreaming up new scenes!

  338. ty17.06.2011 at 23:41

my god! That’s not child abuse; that’s just stupid and very very uggly
is that “baby dream”? lol, dream of her bored mother
my god, its sooooo uggly, it made me almost puke

  339. Esther18.06.2011 at 3:38

  347. Kafei7.07.2011 at 9:39

  348. Sheila8.07.2011 at 18:17

This is so fun! And so much better on the baby than regular photo sessions. She’s not getting overstimulated or kept awake for over an hour while some stanger is shoving a dirty stuffed animal in her face trying to get her to smile. The baby is not even aware of what is happening. The mother simply dresses the baby in a certain outfit and puts her down for a nap. Then she creates the scene and gently, quietly moves the baby without waking her and snaps a quick picture. the baby is obviously fine, if she felt any discomfort she would wake up. These are all regular sleeping poses for a baby. This baby is not drugged either- Seven month old babies need 16 hours of sleep daily, which means a LOT of napping. Newborn babies- it’s about 20 hours. This baby is somewhere in between. These were obviously taken during the baby’s natural sleep times, because with a baby there is no way you could fit in more than 1-2 of these scenes daily.

  349. Alexander9.07.2011 at 21:22
