One Thousand Portraits

Un impressionnant travail de deux photographes, avec le pari fou de réaliser un shooting de 1000 portraits en un seul week-end. En effet, près d’un milliers de personnes différentes ont joué le jeu dans les rues de Londres. A découvrir dans la galerie.

C’est dans l’ère du temps de mettre les “vrai gens” au devant de la scène.
ça marche beaucoup en ce moment pour nous vendre, du gel douche ou des fringues^^
D’ailleurs ce genre de catalogue humain faut de l’or pour les agences qui cherches des modèles ou des figurants.
Après comme démarche artistique, je serai curieux de connaître l’idée, le concept, qui j’espère dépasse le simple fait de vouloir figurer dans le livre des records…

Sorry for my post in English, but I am not fluent in French!
As for someone underlined it, the project was not targeted to take a thousand fantastic portrait from a technical point of view, but it was more an art project.
When in need to ask 1500 people in 2 days if we could have taken their portrait, nobody is capable of taking the best portrait ever. I am talking about a photo every 40 seconds for 14 hours, I am talking about walking 40 km in a weekend. It was not the contest of having a thousand fantastic portrait, but was about capturing what was real!
Moreover I have to add that using only an old FILM camera (not digital) is something that I haven’t seen much lately.
It was a challenge: do you think you can accept it and do it in France? :) I am really looking forward to see it, as already someone from Barcelona accepted it!
