Interview: Andrew Holder

Diskursdisko: Hi Andrew. To start things off, what’s your background? When did you start doing illustrations/artwork?

Andrew Holder: I graduated from Art Center College of Design with a BFA in Illustration. I have pretty much drawn my whole life and I was doing illustration/design type stuff here and there before i went to school. But it took me a while to realize that I could make a living creating art.

Diskursdisko: How do you mainly produce your art?

Andrew Holder: It kind of depends on what i am working on. Everything starts out by hand. For screen prints I will compile the drawings in Photoshop to make sure everything lines up and to remove any stray marks I may have made. I try to stay off the computer as much as possible but these days it is kind of hard not to use it at some point.
