I'm doing ok on the gorgeous list but failing on the fugly one. Not because there aren't enough mingers out there just that they are so ugly that my camera refuses to snap them. Can't blame it really. Anyway, number 7 is the magnificent Lloyd's of London. My ex worked here so I've been inside many times and it's really an amazing space. Very masculine and functional. People hated Lloyd's when it was built[1986] and there still seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about the "ship" as it was refused Grade Listing status this year. I have mixed feeling about other Rogers' stuff [Pompidou, the Welsh Assembly ]but Lloyd's is a beauty and it glows purple at night! Here you can also see another Foster building [does the man ever stop?] the Willis building which provides some amazing reflections of Lloyd's.
