39 366 - Top 10 London buildings #2 and for your mummy, you know who you are!

As some of you may recall last year I started my contraversial project photographing my top and bottom 10 London buildings. Unfortunately due to my pregnancy and then having a newborn i didn't get too far! however, I am back on the case. So, this is London's glorious Battersea Power Station - the upside down elephant, toothpick etc. Decommissioned in1983 it has since been subject to many adventurous redevelopment plans. Located on the Southbank of the Thames next to Battersea Dogs Home and the railway tracks into Victoria Station I see this beauty every day of my commute. They did some tours last year but i missed them...damn my newborn lol. I hope they will do some more. This building evokes a lot of emotion for me. A symbol of London and visible from so many parts of London. My husband says that the architect was renowned for his cathedrals of power. But also did Bankside [Tate Modern] and the red telephone box! And finally, this is for your mummy. xxx
