Strobist Information: Our friend Pepsi came round to the house tonight for a photo shoot. After the shoot was over, I asked her if she would mind letting me practice a few portrait shots with her and she kindly agreed. This is the first setup I wanted to try. It is a fairly conventional layout with my home made light strip softbox as the main light and a shoot through translucent umbrella as the fill light, however I have put an SB-28 directly behind Pepsi head (out of view in the final shot) as a rim light. This gives a nice separation right around her head, although it is a touch bright in the hair near her forehead and at the back of her neck. I did experiment moving the light around to try and eliminate this, but this shot is the best I could manage. :) Picture here: Pepsi Learn how to light: www.strobist.com
