Hummingbird Tongue
See it large to see the tongue! This male ruby-throated hummingbird was enjoying nectar in the front yard. I decided high-speed would work best, and it sure looked sharp. After getting it on the screen, I said, "Hey, look! That hummingbird is sticking out its tongue!", And sure enough--must be some tasty nectar. Through glass. ISO1600. 1/2000s. paulomernik.com
