Designed & folded by Sipho Mabona November folded from one uncut square of origamido paper it's been a while since i last folded a beetle. i often prefer to go back to old models which need some improvment rather then designing a new subject. the CP hasn't changed too much though. the obvious improvments are the addition of eyes, the antenna that come from the side of the horn rather than beeing pulled down from the thorax and the abdomen is longer. other than that i mainly focused on the shaping. i took several days trying to achieve a more rounded shape of the thorax and abdomen aswell as a more life like stance of the legs. continously comparing my model with pictures of the real insect.
